Food processing is one of the upcoming fields of science and technology is a branch of food science that deals with the numerous production processes through which food is prepared. Dr.N.G.P. Arts and Science College established the Department of Food Processing Technology and Management in the year 2021.
Food processing, a part of the field, is one of the modern practices that enhances marketing, management and improves the formulation and distributional efficiency of the food products. A food technologist is not only involved in the food processing, but also in designing of the food plant and various equipment used in processing .The development of technology also resulted in regulating the toxins in food products and brought a revolution in the entire food processing industry.
