Overview

The Department of Information Technology has been established in 2007. The B.Sc., Information Technology degree programme prepare to meet the growing requirement of IT industries and public sectors in worldwide. The program is offering superfine academic ambience with qualified core faculty members to develop domain knowledge and rational skills of students. This Programme includes the study of software development, software testing, software engineering, computer networking, web design, databases, programming, etc. Engaging in highly interactive Seminars and guest lectures with Industry-oriented resource person help them students to bridge the gap between education and industrial need. The department facilitates to develop new skills for advance career opportunity through MOOCS, NPTEL, value added courses and certificate courses. Obtains standard of excellence in knowledge and skill through syllabus which include contemporary modules of advancement in IT field such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Machine learning, Deep Learning, Block chain Technology, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Python, Angular JS and 5G Networks etc. Our department holds very good placement record of 100+ offers every year in leading MNCs. Information Technology is the rudiment of learning, research, development, communication, business etc to ensure better experience. Learning about information Technology help to keep up and move beyond the limits of development in advancing manner.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The Curriculum is designed to attain the following learning goals which students shall accomplish by the time of their graduation

  • Demonstrating a substantial understanding of concepts in key areas of Information Technology and its applications.
  • To equip students with profound knowledge about the vital information technology and allied concepts to deal with industry oriented problems and develop novel products
  • The graduates will establish themselves as professionals by solving real-life problems using exploratory and analytical skills acquired in the field of Information Technology
  • The graduates will embrace professional code of ethics while providing solution to multidisciplinary social problems in industrial, entrepreneurial and research environment to demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • To stimulate an interest in computing as an academic discipline with a view to encouraging progression to research and higher studies.
